Stella

If you’re looking for a sweet off track thoroughbred, February Star Sanctuary has the mare for you! Stella is a recent arrival at our sanctuary and has already become a standout for both her talent and personality. She’s currently in training and getting back into the swing of things after being out of training for a couple of years. Stella is a wonderful jumper and could be great in many disciplines such as eventing, hunter/jumper, English pleasure, trail riding, endurance, therapy, lesson programs and mounted games. We also think she could be perfect for a child getting into a pony club. Like many of us, this chestnut mare is also always in the mood for a delicious treat! If you think Stella is the right horse for you, our adoption inquiry form can be completed here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/18xUsJlZzlMsxP9mir40YNE2AiwYMy3qqg9EGa7awxw4

Kiss

Kiss is one of our rockstar off track Thoroughbreds that keeps thriving every day! At 16 years young, her beauty is matched by her talent. Currently, she’s training in barrel racing and patterns, loping and trotting and we think she would also do great in western pleasure, trail riding and English pleasure. Although she can no longer jump due to her shins, Kiss is full of potential for a successful second career in many disciplines. In fact, she recently competed with our own Addy Smith and was quite impressive! We believe an adopter will see her full potential unleashed and her love shine through. If you think Kiss is the perfect addition to your barn, our adoption inquiry form can be completed here:

Horses
Iffy

2021, 15.0hh, Thoroughbred, Gelding. Iffy isavailable for adoption as a non-riding companion horse. Do you dream of bringing up a youngster for groundwork, liberty, or therapy work? In the right hands, Iffy could be all of those things! Unfortunately, he was born with contracted tendons that were not treated at an appropriate time, which has resulted in his soundness being questioned as he continues to grow and develop. Our vets believe he may be able to hold up to a light job when he is of an appropriate age, but Iffy will not able to have a strenuous career. That being said, Iffy would love to go to home where he can still receive the appropriate education needed to be a good equine citizen! For more information, contact 301-854-5037Trainer@defhr.orgwww.defhr.org.
